We are so proud and excited. In July, we asked you to vote for us as Charlotte's Best Art Gallery in 2025. Readers of the Charlotte Observer had the opportunity to vote for us, and you did. It was announced on Sunday, October 26, that WE WON! We could not be more grateful for your support this year.

It is indeed an honor to be voted Charlotte's Best Art Gallery. We are humbled, as this validates our mission to feature art to engage with and inspire the communities we serve. Charlotte Studio Artists, in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, occupies space in the former Child Development Center next to the Johnston YMCA. YMCA leadership had the vision and courage to rent space to Charlotte Studio Artists, whose artists volunteer their time and talent to support art-related programs offered by the Johnston YMCA. CSA is a perfect fit for Charlotte's historic arts district of NODA, and we are thrilled to be bringing more art to the community.

Charlotte Studio Artists was founded by three local artists, Catherine Kanvik, Jodi Lynn McNeely, and Walter Sanders, who saw the possibility of creating an artist-led collective. The group has grown from the original three founders to more than two dozen Resident Artists. Their art practices and personalities reflect a diverse range of mediums, styles, and interests.

CSA Resident Artists are delighted that people enjoy visiting our studios and exhibit areas and get a chance to meet with artists to appreciate and buy their work. Special events and offerings, such as our rotating Gallery Exhibits and classes, are open to the public and a highlight of our work in the community. We look forward to doing even more to promote and celebrate art in Charlotte.
